About Us

In the Autumn of 2025 the Scottish Government Knowledge Transfer and Innovation Fund supported a proposal from Propagate Scotland to create the Farm Cluster Connections initiative. This established 8 regional networks around Scotland to encourage the sharing of knowledge and experience around regenerative agriculture and nature friendly farming practices.

In East Lothian the charity Balanced Horizon working in partnership with the East Lothian Climate Hub, lead the regional network. They have set up FFEL as a national exemplar for bringing farmers and landowners together locally to share information.

Initial funding takes the project up to March 2027 although we are hoping this will turn into a long-term initiative that offers considerable on-going value to all the FFEL members involved.
