We have created two new communities for FFEL members to join where they can contact other members and share news and information. There are two because they have different strengths. The WhatsApp community is good for sharing shorter messages that eventually ‘time-out’. The SKOOL community is more comprehensive for hosting topic-specific discussions, event details, presentation outputs etc.

The new FFEL WhatsApp Group is ideal for exchanging shorter messages that have a ‘shelf-life’. To join please email your mobile phone number to tess@eastlothianclimatehub.org to request access together with details of your role and where you farm. She can send you an invitation to join. This group is exclusively for those directly involved in managing land in East Lothian. We are unable to open this up more widely. By joining you agree to share your mobile phone number with other FFEL members linked to the WhatsApp group. It will not be shared any more widely.

There is also a new online community on the SKOOL platform where those involved directly and indirectly in land management in East Lothian can exchange longer messages and other information, engage in discussions, comment on other messages, submit news and meet other members. To access this you need to register online and we will authorise access – it is deliberately managed as a private group for members only.
